MIDFLORIDA Auto Show & Lake Mirror Concours Names 2018 Honorary Chairmen
Jim Schmidt and son, Rick Schmidt, owners of National Parts Depot, have been named Honorary Chairmen of the 2018 MIDFLORIDA Auto Show & Lake Mirror Concours.
National Parts Depot (NPD) first opened its doors in 1976, and has become the premier provider of quality parts and accessories for classic cars of all types. NPD has the industry’s largest inventory of concours-correct items, restoration quality parts and replacement parts for nearly any auto project, and has four locations throughout the U.S. Headquartered in Ocala, Florida, the business includes a large collection of significantly and authentically restored cars in its warehouse.
Recognizing the importance of preserving history, Jim and Rick Schmidt are true collector-car enthusiasts and have restored cars for many years. Because of their passion for classic cars, they have been strong supporters of the Auto Show since its inception in 1999. Additionally, they have provided numerous display cars for the show, many of which have been featured in the Concours Golden Anniversary division. For 2018, Jim and Rick will be bringing a 1968 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500 KR, one of only 1,023 total built, and a completely original 1968 Ford Torino, which has traveled only 12 miles since production.
Please join us in thanking Jim and Rick Schmidt for their years of support to the MIDFLORIDA Auto Show and the collector car community.
