Lake Mirror Concours
The Lake Mirror Concours is the featured event of the Lakeland Auto Show weekend. Approximately 100 premium classic automobiles are invited to be displayed along the Lake Mirror Promenade on Saturday. A team of judges will inspect and grade the vehicles worthy to receive a coveted Lake Mirror Swan trophy at the afternoon award ceremony at 3 pm. All applicants for the Concours are carefully reviewed by our selection committee. Due to the higher standards of the Concours group, additional information will be requested for registration. Although a former national show winner will certainly command attention, we are equally interested in original, unrestored, rare and unusual cars. If you have a car fitting one of Lake Mirror’s premier groups, please do not hesitate submitting it for consideration.

Lakeland Auto Show
The Lakeland Auto Show takes place on the streets of downtown Lakeland from 10 am – 3 pm on Saturday. The streets will be closed-off to accommodate over 600 special interest and collector cars of all types. Vehicles will be displayed in groups of similar makes and models. Cars placed on the Blue Ribbon are by invitation only and are selected by a car show committee. Additional cars will be located on adjacent parking spurs near their similar group.
New! A special awards ceremony will be held at 2 pm on the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union stage to present trophies to the winning cars on display as part of the Lakeland Auto Show. Recipients will be selected based on merit by a special awards committee. In addition, sponsors will present ribbons to their favorite vehicles. All vehicles must be pre-registered.
The Road Tour on Sunday morning will be the final activity of the 2017 Lakeland Auto Show. Registered entrants enjoy a morning drive through the central Florida countryside culminating with lunch, prizes and program at an undisclosed location.
This event is open to all types of vehicles, so you don’t need a show-quality collector car to participate. Walt Engle and rallymaster, Ray Kriegbaum, always create a scenic route with challenging questions along the way which allow you to win prizes at the end. Cars depart from the Peggy Brown Building Sunday morning. Participants must be pre-registered and bring proof of insurance.
Budweiser Hot Rod Rendezvous
Benefitting Junior Achievement
Start your engines for the opening event of the Lakeland Auto Show on Friday night at Lake Mirror Park. The Budweiser Hot Rod Rendezvous is an outdoor concert and car show held on the promenade around Lake Mirror. Jill’s Cashbox, a newcomer to the car show but a favorite around Central Florida, will rock the night with their blend of country sounds. When the band takes their break, the field of hot rods (and other hot, noisy cars) will fire up their engines and make some music of their own. Vehicles must pre-register online. This event is free for spectators. Junior Achievement of Polk County will host a special ticketed Taste of Achievement event with wine, food and a silent auction on the lawns of Lake Mirror. Click here to purchase tickets for the event or see a Junior Achievement board member.
Heacock Insurance New Car Show
Remember when unveiling new model cars was a really big deal? Then the New Car Show presented by Heacock Insurance is just for you. Experience the latest automobile designs and technology from several Central Florida auto dealers as they bring their newest vehicles to be unveiled at the Lakeland Auto Show. The New Car Show will be held on the east side of the Lake Mirror Promenade on Friday night, and on Tennessee Ave on Saturday. If you’re in the market for a new vehicle, you might be able to find it at the Lakeland Auto Show. Dealerships will have staff at the event to answer any questions about the new vehicles.
Blue Ribbon Walking Tour
A special Blue Ribbon Walking Tour is an added feature to the car show for 2017 to showcase all the classes of cars represented in both the Lakeland Auto Show display and the Lake Mirror Concours. The path will circle through downtown, then head down and around Lake Mirror and back. If you’re limited on time to view all cars on display, this is a great way to see a sampling of some of the significant cars in the show.
